Ikon was founded in 1996 by former model Cynthia Saldana-Aktipis. Cynthia's goal was to establish a sincere, honest agency with strong values and high standards. In fact, the light behind the 'i' in the original logo symbolizes this spiritual, positive belief, which is the driving force behind this agency's success. Ikon was not started with a large bankroll or a huge staff, but in a few short years, it quickly became a major force in the competitive New York modeling and talent market. The boutique-style agency prides itself on consistently serving each client's needs as well as fulfilling the models' and actors' career goals. Ikon Model Management represents models for fashion/beauty, commercial/advertising and editorial/runway. As a result, each model is developed to their fullest potential, allowing them to cross over into more than one market. The Ikon Artists Division represents both its models and actors in commercials, television and film.

In the past seven years, Ikon has been continuously growing and expanding. Our newest divisions include Creative Services (photographers, make-up artists and stylists), Ikon Athletes and Celebrities.
